Hi,

I have a hard disk of 10 gb. When I connect it in IDE 2, it gets detected in bios. But it is not showing the drive letter in my computer. Only the IDE 1 Hard disk drives letters are seen.

Tell me what should be done to get the data from that hard disk.

I am wating to you are reply.

Thanks,
Karamuddin.

Which operating system do you have. Detach and reattach the 2nd hdd. Also try attaching the hdd into the ide cable used for the cd rom

Try the above info and also go to the drive manager and see if its healthy. Also, maybe change jumper settings on the hard drive

You need to go back to
Hard Drives - Ask Me Help Desk (https://www.askmehelpdesk.com/hard-drives/)

And make a new question for yourself, click on Ask About Hard Drives

On the hard drive itself there will be a small jumper that you would need to change

It is probably on Master, need to change that to either Slave (S)
Or Cable Select (CS)

Check the jumper setting and post back
