I have replace the ICM and now the coil. Car ran great up and down the highway. Today my son got in to go to a college class and it won't start. It turns over but won't start. I DID NOT coat the back of the ICM with grease as I have since read. Could this be the problem? Should I be checking for other issues?

If the CEL comes on and goes off after 2 seconds, when the ignition switch is turned to ON, the problem is distributor-related. Most distributor problems involve the ICM and coil. The exception is when internal sensors fail. ICMs won't last long, if the back is not coated with a thin, even coat of silicone heat-transfer compound. How long ago and how many miles, since you replaced the ICM?

Just replaced the ICM, not even 100 miles. Replace the coil last night and took for a test ride, ran great. Today just won't start. Have not had a chance to check spark or fuel, too much rain.
