Over time I have been noticing my water pressure in my kitchen sink becoming weaker and weaker on all temperatures. Additionally it literally takes several minutes for the water to become remotely hot. I have not noticed and debris in the water.
Could this just be an old filter needing replaced? Any suggestions?
Thank you!

Is the kitchen faucet the only faucet affected? Is the wait for hot water in all faucets or just in the kitchen? Have you removed the aerator and checked the screen fro any trash or debris? Let me know, tom

I recently replaced the shower faucet cartridge and it works great - temp and all. I have not notice the temp issue in the other 2 sinks because I usually just run them warm... so I would say yes, just my kitchen. I have not checked the aerator yet. Is this something a rookie can do easily? :)

Also would the aerator be the cause of the extreme wait for hot water?

No! But trash in the screen could reduce your water pressure. Simply unscrew it from the spout and turn the water on. If you get a full stream clean the aerator.
I want you to check the other faucets and see if you have a wait for hot water. Let me know, Tom
