Okay I am on birth control but last month I didn't take them because I had purchased them too late, and I couldn't catch up, so I just waited until this month to start them back up. Well I was supposed to start my period yesterday, but sometimes I start on Wednesday, but not very often at all, I am just hoping that me not taking my birth control has something to do with me being late. I would appreciate any advice.

You could very well be pregnant. The pill is not at all 100% effective in the first place, and it is quite ineffective during the first month.

Exactly how late are you?

I'm only 1 day late, but I don't feel any symptoms of my period, coming and I usually always do. I have never been late since I have been on birth control, and I have been on because for 5 years. I hope this answer helps

How old are you?

One day is not really considered late. Even for people who are perfectly on time.

However, if you missed one month of because you could very well be pregnant.

I am 19 years old. If I took a pregnancy test will it come out accurate this early?

You are very young and your hormones are not yet stabilized. This does not happen until somewhere around the age of 25. So this could very well be normal.

A test will most likely not come out accurately yet. Although they do have tests that say you can test one day after your missed period, they tend to give more false negatives than acutal true negatives.

You should probably wait about a week.

So do you think that me not being on my because has something to do with me not starting my period yet?

You are only a day late. That is not considered late at your age. It has nothing to do with not being on because, other than the fact that you might be pregnant.
