Hi,

I'm 24 yrs old and I guess I should know better seeing as I'm already a mother of a 7 year old. But I was wondering if I may be pregnant. For some reason I'm so scared to take a HPT.
Here are my symptons: you guys tell me what you think.

1. I have been feeling very tired lately. My normal bedtime is about 10:30 and lately I have been going to sleep a lot earlier and I feel sleepy and tired all day at work.
2. for the past two months I've had a dark brown period which last only about 3-4 days. I still haven't gotten my period for this month.
3. just the other day, as I was getting in the shower, I noticed little scabs on both my nipples. I haven't had scabs on my nipples since I breast fed almost 7 years ago.
4. I have been eating like a pig. It seems I have to eat anything in sight which isn't that reare for me, but now it seems like a much more intense need.

I know you are probably saying I should just get tested, but I just wanted someone else's opinion.

I appreciate any response I get.

Thank you!

Yes, I believe you should take the test. If no other reason, just to clear your mind.

Thanks for your input... deep down inside I know I should take a test but for some reason I can't get myself to do so.
So are you saying you think I might be?

I can't honestly say without seeing you and doing a history and physical (H&P).

Why can't you get yourself to take a test?

Mainly because I'm nervous... don't know if I'll be happy with it. I mean don't get me wrong, I would love another baby... just not right now. I guess I wanted to know from others if they thought I might and if it was worth taking a test.

Hey, I felt the same way you do. My youngest was 8 when my new youngest was born. I was 38. He was my 4th. My oldest is now 20. And my youngest is now 4 1/2

But you know for your health and the health of your baby (if you are pregnant) you need to take the test.

I did not think I would be happy with it, I mean I went through cancer, chemotherapy, and I was scared ****less that something would be wrong with him. I had the amniocentesis, the whole bit. But I would not change things for a minute. He keeps me young.

You are so young. Imagine being my age, when many women are grandmothers and I am having a baby myself. When I was 24 I already had 2 babies.

Have the test, the stress is worse than actually finding out and dealing with the outcome.

I guess you're right... thanks so much for your help. I really appreciate it. You really made this a lot easier than I thought. I guess there is nothing else to do than just take the test.

Wish me luck!
