Hello, I'm in desperate need of some help. When I turn on my central air the outside blower turns on and the cool air trickles out of the inside vents. I went down to check the furnace because I did not here it click on. I then opened the panel and saw that the fan inside the furnace was not spinning. I tried the heat and the fan came on with the heater not with the AC. I took a voltage meter and checked the wiring. There did'nt seem to be a problem except there is a round black "thin" above and to the right of the fan that has several wires coming out of it and the black one read no voltage. HELP I also changed the relay and that did not solve my problem.

Type of furnace? Fas or electric

If its gas the door must be in place for the fan to run ( sorry a lot of people don`t know this)
Its possible the higher speed winding in motor is bad and only works on the slower(heat) speed
Can you determine if you have a 2 or 3 speed motor?

I did hold in the safety switch w/ the panel off. How can I tell the speed of the blower?

Brand name and model number of furnace
Does it have a circuit board?
Can you trace the wires from the fan motor to the circuit board and see what they are connected to? Identify what each wire is connected to
The board should be labeled low--med--hi
