Part of a major remodel that I am doing requires me to move the utility room further away from the main water supply feed and run new water lines to every fixture. I am going to be using a pex manifold in this system. Because of a couple different reasons that I won't waste your time explaining (unless you need this info to give advice), I would like to plumb the water in the following order:
Main water line coming in, then TEE cold into hot water heater, then TEE into cold side of manifold (hot line could come strait in to the manifold from the heater), then TEE into pressure tank, then run the open end of the TEE out to a hose bibb.
I have searched and searched for proper location of the pressure tank and have yet to read anything about not being able to have the pressure tank come in after you have hooked into the water heater and / or pex manifold. Will this work?
Originally I was going to go main line coming in, tee into pressure tank, tee into pex manifold, tee into water heater, end on out to a hose bibb... but the above installation would be MUCH cleaner and easier based on the layout of the room and house I am working with. Thanks in advance!
