How do I get AOL out of my computer and life?

Are you referring to Uninstall AOL Spyware Protection 2.0 (http://info.aol.co.uk/help/asp/uninstall_asp.html)
OR just AOL
However, you can uninstall most of AOL's software by clicking Start, Settings, Control Panel.
Next, double-click "Add Remove Programs", and you should see AOL on the list.
Select it, and choose "Remove".
That should do it!

You may need to manually delete the AOL folders after you run the uninstall.
