Hi,
Can paint from the same can look different on the wall. I juste painted my office with a semi-gloss paint (I think.. it looks sheen). Few weeks later I have to touch up some part of the wall, so I used the paint that was left. But this time the paint looked flat not glossy like the rest of the room. Do you know what might cause this ? I would appreciate any suggestion.

Thank you

If you mixed the paint well - both the first time you painted and the touch-up - and primed well before the first coat, then then the only difference you should notice should be only for a day or so until the touch up spots dry.

Not mixing well (either the first or 2nd time) or not priming the initial job well are about the only two causes of a noticeable difference within a few weeks that I can imagine.

Sorry to say, but if the touch-up job is fully dry and still does not match, there's no miracle fix: You either live with it or re-paint the wall or walls where it is noticeable.

Hi Sodany! I think your problem was that you didn't stir your paint well enough before you put it on. A lot of the color goes to the bottom and gets thick so you have to make sure it's mixed well before using again. You should have just tried a little first and there still might be a little difference but it shouldn't be much. If you have some left over try again. GOOD LUCK!
