My husband was served a Writ of Execution on a judgment from Chase Bank for a little over $5,000.00. In Pennsylvania, I am under the assumption that they cannot garnish wages, however can they go after bank accounts that are in both of our names, and also can they go after a vehicle, and/or home. Would the home have a lien put against it?

How do we go about declaring that the assets are joint, and if they are joint, can they still come after those assets? CAn they come after my children's assets?

I would like to know the answer to this question. I am the Pennsylvania landlord and have just finished filing my statement of judgment and now I think I need to file a writ of execution but I need to know if I file with the magistrate or the prothonotary's office.
