I recently bought an Epson photo 700 printer.
It has got the problem that it sometimes prints just a few lines of a document, then pushes the paper through and keeps pushing paper until all of it is gone.
It does seem to be a software problem. I have tried all drivers I could find on the web, but everyone seems to have some bug. One of the drivers won't print with inkjet paper, another will print only a corner of the picture with pixels the size of lentils.
Any help out there?

I'm running win98se on a 850mhz asus.
I usually print out of Photoshop. If I try to print out of painter, I get a quarter or so of the page printed in huge pixels.
The printer plays up on an irregular basis, The newest bug is that it prints a shadow of some lines, sometimes.
I don't think I got a virus, as I run an auto updated version of norton.
An epson 600 printer runs fine with the setup. I got both the 600 and the photo 700 drivers installed, and the 700 set as default. I tried uninstalling a few times, had only installed the 700 driver in different versions, but there always was one bug or another(the original driver does not recognize inkjet paper, e.g.)
Thank you for your time

I suggest you go through the procces of contacting epson technical support maybe they know of a fix I have tried to replicate your issue and was unable to I think it has something to do with the fact that windows is keeping the drivers that comes with windows even though you think your installing updated drivers but again I was unable to replicate your problem so I cannot be sure sorry for the inability to help I hope that if someone else can think of a fix that works they will post after me.

Have a great Day! ;D :D

Thanks a lot for trying so hard!
I just got a long answer from their help desk, So I'll check this out. By the way they suggest it is a port or cable problem.
Tks again
