I have a double vanity sink in my bathroom and the other day I heard kind of a banging noise when I turned the water on, then the water was brown. After rinning it a few seconds the water was normal again. Today its varying from light brown to mostaly normal but here is the crazy thing. The water is not draining right its kind of slow draining and the sink I am not using is filling up with no water running in it. WHat I mean is I run the sink on the right, it backs up and the sink on the left starts to fill up from the drain. How is this possible. I never had problems with my plumbing before and they don't look like there connected anywhere. They have separate nosels under the vanity for both sinks

Thanks

Banging noise and slow drain are not related. The rusty water is from an old galvanized pipe or connection and will continue unless you find and remove that pipe, go copper or PEX. The slow drain, disconnect the trap and make sure its clear, watch out for a cup or two of water when removing the trap. If the trap is clear rod into the horizontal pipe going into the wall. Use a 1/4" snake because you will hit a 90 elbow about 7" inside the wall.
