View Full Version : Is this just a typical flu or could it be something else?

For two days now, I have had a slight fever, starting at about 100 degrees, and now at 102 degrees. I have noticed a loss of appetite, a headache that comes and goes throughout the day, some nausea especially at night and the obvious aches that accompany a fever. However, I do not have a sore throat particularly, nor a cough or stuffy nose, but I think I do have swollen lymph glands on my neck; I can kind of feel it when I swallow... unless I have them mistaken for the beginnings of a sore throat. I've taken ibuprofen, drank fluids, and rested; but the symptoms are still the same. So, is this just the flu, or could it be something else?

You could have something more then just the flu, it could be H1N1 virus, or swine flu. However, can't diagnose with just those symptoms. Your fever is high, you have nausea, I would go to emergency and get checked out. Swine flu is a killer.
