I live in the state of NH. My husband wants to adopt my two daughters, my daughters father hasn't seen them in over 5 years. My daughters biological father pays no child support, and never calls or visits the girls. My new husband is their father, he spends time with them, takes them places, and loves them. He wants to adopt them so they will legally be theirs. He is wondering if the adoption goes through, will he qualify for a child support reduction on his biological children?

Not likely.

Nope. Child support is based on income, if the child he is paying support for does not live with you then it will only change if his income goes up or down. And even then most of the time it only changes if he or the child's mother requests a change. Then you get to go to court and the judge determines. His loving your wonderful girls isn't going to change anything financially. Though I recommend you call a family center out there and ask someone. State laws can be slightly different.
