MY central heating boiler light is on but there is no hot water and the heating won't work either. I know there is a red re set button which I have tried pressing for 3 seconds then turned the heating back on but it didn't work. Any advice? Thanks.:)

I asked the mods to move your question to heating and cooling. More details of the system would help. When the thermostat calls for heat, the system will begin an ignition sequence and then turn on the gas, and the pump. If the pilot light is out, the ignitor doesn't work, the gas doesn't come on and light, the pump doesn't start, etc. the system will shut down and yours lights the light. You need to start up the system and see how far it goes before shutting down. Then check the next component. Post back with more info for more help.
