HELLO,this is Meher from Dhaka,my question is that what are the subjects that are actually required if I want to be a doctor? what are the courses required?I've just completed my o'levels,my result has not published yet,well I'm a student of OXFORD IN'T SCHOOL of DHAKA.and now I'm taking the course for SAT as I've heard it's score is highly required to be admitted over there is it true? How long will the certificate will last and will I need to do any others courses with it, let me know as soon as you can...

I'm not so sure about it, but I've heard that some people can be doctors if they do Chemistry, Physics and Maths main, without biology. Maths are essential, so does chemistry.

In the US, I do not believe most medical schools require that you have a specific major. You could major in English or History and still get into a good medical school, provided you perform well on the MCAT test, which of course includes a lot of biology. I used to teach students who were preparing to apply for medical and veterinary school. But I do not know anything about international requirements. Bottom line, in the US, it's the test. If you plan to apply to any schools in the US, look at the kinds of questions on MCAT to see what courses to take. I'm guessing, lots of molecular biology and genetics, lots of human physiology. But Google "MCAT" and get a practice test to see what's on it.
