I have two Lennox furnaces in my home and would like to know if there is a way to shut off the blowers when the furnace is not running. When it is cold outside they blow cold air into the house and this seems to make the house cooler when the furnace is not running. I know they are supposed to keep the air circulating but I don't like the cold air.

Thanks

It sounds like the switch (on your thermostat) for your fan is in the ON position rather than the AUTO position. Check that first.

If it is in the AUTO position and the still constantly runs, then you've got either a problem in your thermostat or one of the components of your furnace(s)... and if this IS the case, then give this post a day or two as there are some good HVAC folk here... and if no reply, then give a HVAC company a call.

A tip: For things like this, I like to call for a free estimate for the repair, then depending on what they say is wrong I go from there on whether it's something I'll do myself or not.
