Please anyone, this is killing me.

I'm looking for the title of a movie that was done in the 80's.

Its about some scientist who inventes like 5 or 6 small little flying saucers that fly around in his shop, getting into trouble.

I believe the title has three words in it.

If it was batteries not included, you have the description off. It starts with 2 ships that are apparently sentient. They enter a building that has been condemned looking to recharge their power. The mothership (literally ;) ) gives birth to 3 baby ships. The family helps the tenants of the building rebuild it.
