View Full Version : Is there any way to get around paying 'out-of-state' tuition with my circumstances?

Okay, so I currently live in Idaho and have 13 college credits (towards my Associate's) and I want to move to Missouri ASAP... Let's say I ended up moving there: Would I be allowed to finish my Associate's degree online through the same community college in Idaho that I got my first 13 credits from AND PAY WHAT AN IDAHOAN RESIDENT PAYS, even though I would be living in Missouri?

The reason I want to do it that way is I want to save money. I don't want to wait to start college, but I don't want to pay out-of-state tuition for that first year that I live in Missouri.

What's a broke-a$$ person to do..

How do I get a copy of my college transcript if the school is closed now?

The best recommendation would be to relocate as planned and take online courses through your first institution until you become a resident of your new state. Of course, this would require meeting with an advisor through your new institution to ensure that all of your credits would count toward requirements there.
