My son is 22 years old and has not held a real job since he graduated from High school 4 years ago. He comes in after 2:00 am eats and leaves the dishes in the sink. Leaves lights & TV on all night and sleeps all day. His room is so bad that I am literally afraid to go in there. I am certain that things live in there other than him. He sleeps in the family room because his room is so dirty. I have asked him to get a job or even take the calls from the bill collectors that hound my home phone day & night. He simply avoids me. I need him to grow up and get a life. I need to know if it is legal for me to evict him without written notice in the state of Maryland?

From what I looked up you have to go to district court and file for a one month eviction notice. Then if he still does not leave the sheriffs will escort him off your property.

Eviction is a legal process. So an eviction without notification is an oxymoron.

The eviction process starts with a vacate notice that precedes court action. If he leaves before the deadline, you can avoid legal actions. If not, you have to get the courts involved.
