How do I reset the air pressure in my well air tank and what is the correct pressure?

If it's a bladder tank, you drain pressure from system and set tank pressure at 2psi below cut in. If no bladder, drain system, drain tank, and turn the pump back on. I suggest 40-60 pressure switch settings. Which would leave you with a tank pressure of 38 when system is drained.
