I owe Federal taxes (over 3 years old, Filled late about 2 years ago and one of the year reassed by the IRS over 1 year ago) for about 50,000 a year. I have a payment plan for $900 a month. I also owe about 17,000 in state NY state taxes. I do not have credit card debt, I make about 120,000 a year with 4 dependants. I do have small judgement aganst me (for about 5,000 and it had been almost 10 years there). How tough is to get relief with bankrupt in a case like this? I am working 4 jobs to stay afloat and it is becoming very tough for me.

Thank you

What happened if a person gets into bankcrupt and at any time of the bankcrupt (lets say within the first or second year of being on it) the person get in a not very large federal tax debt? Will the IRS still do another payment plan? Will that new debt included on the chapter 13 payment plan?

Thank you

Back taxes can not be included in bankruptcy court.

Your taxes can not be discharged in a chapter 7 bankruptcy. You appear to have little other debt and a large income. I would work out a new payment plan if possible, or look at cutting your expense, how much do you pay in car payments, house or rent and learn to live on a lot less.

I raised 5 kids making less than 30,000 a year, it all has to do with budgets
