I recently got Dish Network service and would like to connect my Panasonic DVD recorder to either the TV or the satellite receiver so that I can transfer programs recorded on the DVR to DVD.
Here is what I have in terms of equipment:
VIP722K DVR satellite receiver
Panasonic DMR-ES15 DVD recorder
Sylvania 6626LCT LCD/HDTV television
Here is what I have in terms of cables:
Component RGB (supplied with the satellite receiver)
RYW RCA cables (2 sets)
S Video (2)
Coaxial (1)
Would appreciate any help anyone can give.:)

The Panasonic recorder has the following inputs:
(from http://www.110220volts.com/DMR-ES15.html)
"3 sets of A/V inputs (composite and S-video), including 1 front-panel set"
The television has audio output, but the manual doesn't show any video outputs (I would be surprised if it did)

The Satellite receiver has a Component Video output (six RCA jacks) that you probably have connected to the television, and a set of three Composite Video jacks (labeled with a white "2" in a blue background).

I think you'll have to connect the composite video from the recorder to the satellite receiver using one of your RYW RCA cables. I don't see any other possible connections. I'm not sure how the tuning will work. I expect you'll only be able to record the program that is selected on the receiver.

Thanks for responding. I did connect the receiver to the recorder using RCA then connected the recorder to the TV using RCA and it works fine. Thanks again.
