My central air will not kick on. It definitely gets pwer as I can hear the motor trying but it does not go on. How can I fix that

The fan motor spins the fan but slower than normal. Then I can hear a electrical humming then it shuts off as if it is trying to kick on. Then eventually fan shuts off

Sounds like your capacitor could be bad...

Do you think your landlord could come in and help?
