What state are you in?
I know California has some type of three strike law.

For sure several states have 3 strike laws, but they are based on convictions, not arrests. After a person is arrested the charges could be dropped or the person may be found not guilty.

The U.S. Constitution (Fourth Amendment) requires that arrests be based on probable cause, which in a loose way means the person probably did it, but no legal sanctions can be imposed on anyone unless they are convicted beyond a reasonable doubt.

convicted beyond a reasonable doubt.

I wish we still went by reasonable doubt. I see so many Judges going by 'their feelings' or their mood over their problems any more it is disgusting
