My Maytag gas dryer LDG9304AAE won't burn; 2 weeks ago I replaced the igniter because it had a crack in it and wouldn't ignite/glow.
The dryer worked fine then, but now it appears even though the igniter burns whitehot for approx.10-15 seconds there doesn't appear to be any gasflowing and/or igniting.
Keepitsimplestupids reply to anothers previous question was:The first thing that happens is an igniter usually glows. It takes a little while for this to happen, There could also be a spark igniter.
The next thing that happens is the pilot gas valve is opened and the pilot gets lit. At this point the pilot gas valve could be faulty or the igniter could be faulty.
Is it possible that even though it glows that the igniter is faulty?
Or is it something to do with the mechanical gas valve (?) or as my service parts store suggested maybe with the gas coil (?)... if the gas coil, how do I check and install??
Your help is greatly appreciated
