Can anyone tell me what could be the cause of the absolutely unhingingly annoying rattling/squealing sound eminating from the back of my refrigerator. It is a frigidaire gallery about 5 or 6 years old. I have asked my landlord to look at it but he says its normal. I think its normal for him to ignore it. Im going batty! Please help!

Take a look into the bottom where the compressor is. It is normal for them to vibrate a little. It could be moving excessively because a rubber spacer is shot. If so, I would tell the landlord it is defective and you want it fixed. Something could also be touching the compressor. If so, you may be able to bend it, or jam a piece of rubber or plastic between them.
A more sensible landlord would get it fixed before the lines to the compressor wear a hole in them or snap off.
