I'm not sure what section to ask this question in... but being as my babies are part of my family, I thought I' ask here.
Long story short, we took in 2 doves.. they had a baby about a month ago who did just fine. About a week ago, I discovered a new baby!! However, since day 1, it looked a little odd [like it had no energy.. just there]... so a week has gone by and one of it's little legs sticks out to the side :( My brother looked it up online and we think it's SPLAYED LEG... this can occur due to various reasons but I think it was because of the nest :( it was a flat surface kind of... I didn't expect another baby so I didn't bother to fix the nest after baby #1. I made an appointment with a vet, prob be expensive but I can't let the little thing suffer for the rest of it's life.
My question is...
Does anyone know about this condition?. what should I do until my appointment, which is in about 4 days/?
I'm afraid that it will be too late to do anything about it!! The baby is about 8 days old
Concerned parent :)
