I put together a Quitclaim deed from other dealings I have had. The question I have is at the top I noticed it says "Prepared by". Am I allowed to prepare my own Quitclaim deed? This is in Florida.

Thanks

As far as I can tell from a quick look at Florida's requirements, anyone can "prepare" the deed. However if you have never prepared a deed before then I strongly recommend that you at least have it looked at by a title company or attorney before it is recorded. The cost should be minimal.

You are allowed to prepare your own for your own use. Quitclaim deeds are the most used deeds and used often for transfers between family members, when banks are selling foreclosures and anytime the seller does not wish to have any liablity in the sell. In fact as a seller I would prefer to use them all the time.
As a buyer I would never want to be sold a property that way if possible.
