The only way that I see to balance the following equation is to use fractions. Is there in fact a way to not have to use fractions?

H2SO4 + NaOH (arrow pointing to the right) H2O + NaSO4

If you ever have to use fractions, simply multiply the equation by a common denominator and the fractions will go away.

However, you have made a mistake in the equation. This is the correct (unbalanced) equation:

H_2SO_4 + NaOH \rightarrow H_2O + Na_2SO_4
