My girlfriend and I just moved into an new apartment and have finished most of the renovations other than the floor in the hall/dining room. We were hoping that underneath the linoleum floor would be the hardwood floor that is in the other rooms but were saddened to find more linoleum(under which is ply). However, the second layer of linoleum is a very nice retro pattern which would be a nice touch to finishing off the apartment if we can find some way to clean and fortify it. We were entertaining the idea of covering the linoleum with a clear epoxy to seal it off and give it a few more years of life. Does anyone have any tips on if this is possible and if so how to prep the floor and what type of epoxy to use?

Are you renting or did you buy this unit?

We are renting but the landlord has given us the go ahead. He doesn't want to do any repairs so leaves any re-modeling up to us
