I have a rough-in shower drain located 15" from the back wall and 16" from the side wall. From what I can tell this is for a 32" x 32" shower pan. I would like at least a 36" x 36" shower. How high do I need to build a lift for the shower pan in order to route the center drain to the floor drain a few inches over?

If you want to use pre-fab shower pan so then you will have to either build a pedestal (raise the floor under shower) or cut concrete and move drain to its intended location. However, if you plan on building your own custom shower base than you can leave the drain where it is and just slope to it.

So, Whadda you going to do? Platform the shower? Move the drain? Or install a custom tile shower? Inquiring minds want to know! Regards, Tom

I've decided to just move the drain. I looked into building a custom shower base and it is WAY out of my league. :o) By the way, I don't see scales, and I couldn't rate the other commentor either.
