A close family member of mine was due to be released a month ago, however she was moved prison instead because capacity of her previous prison had been reached. She has rang me once but I have no money to send her so she can ring again, I've had a home visit from probation almost to months ago. How do I find out when her next release date or what is going on? I have tried to write to her but for the first time she hasn't written back. I need to know because the last time I spoke with her she was not handling prison at all!

It depends on what state she is incarcerated in. each state has their own rules and regulations regarding contact procedures...

Well first if they were really suppose to be released, merely moving prisons will not change anything.
Next since you said prison governor, I will have to assume you are not in the US, since in the US, the person over a prison is the Warden. But they are not the person you contact, you need to talk to
1. the inmate cousler at the prison
2. The state ( if the US) Dept of Corrections
For most they will also have ( in the US) a web site for each state where it will show ( or may show) the max release date and the next pic date ( parole date)
