I have a Kenmore dishwasher model # 665.16022401. We think the dishwasher is 5 years old or maybe newer. It was in the house when we bought it 3 years ago. The green clean light on the front of my dishwasher is flashing green and now I can not get my dishwasher to run. The cancel/drain button will drain when we put water in the bottom of the dishwasher so we know if has power. How do I get that green light to shut off so I can use my dishwasher?

I am guessing that it is blinking 7 times then a pause. This could indicate a heating element problem. It may also be just a hiccup and by resetting it the dishwasher will work without any problems. With the door closed push HI TEMP WASH then HEATED DRY. Do this 3 times in 10 seconds. The lights will light up and go into a test mode. If this problem happens again soon the you will need to replace the heating element (which probably comes with a new control board). Replace them both because the element is possibly a slightly different wattage and the board times have been adjusted to compensate.
