If I give up my rights on my children will that stop my child support?

Words can not describe what kind of human being you are.

No matter what your always responsible for your children.

This actually belongs on the Family Law board where there are numerous threads that address this question.

In short, you cannont give up your parental rights for the sake of skirting child support. Unless someone (ex's new spouse) is willing to adopt, then no. If you choose not to see your child, you still are responsible for supporting him/her financially.

I'm not sure where you originally posted this, but most of the places that one would post such a question have Read First instructions directing you to the Family Law area.

As pointed out there are thousands of threads here that answer this question.

The bottomline is that you won't be allowed to relinquish your rights. No court is going to terminate rights just to let the parent out of paying child support.

I want to relinquish my social obligations to pay taxes that pay for Welfare for people who don't want to pay for their own damned kids.

How can I do that?
