Hi there,
Im a 21 year old girl from New Zealand and I left school the day I turned 16 and started working. I was 17 going on 18 when I got a job with n.z post. While working @ n.z post I was always told I was a good, hard, reliable, fast yet sufficient worker. The youngest worker on my shift yet the fastest @ what I do and always the one the boss came to get when he needed something done. I was always acknowledged for the good work I done.
The pay there was good... Last year I began stealing from my job and on a good day id come home with 3-5 hundred a day, it ended up being an everyday thing, stealing money.
I was going through a lot but that's another story on its own... Last year in August I was finally caught and n.z post charged me with theft of up to 10 grand. I was sentenced February this year being my first offence with 200 hours community service, I've completed 100 hours so far and will probably take me up to October to finish it. I absolutely regret what I done, it was wrong for me to do so and I've learnt to not take a good thing for granted. Now all I want to know is if anyone who is as sorry as I am and been in the same situation or similar has found it easy to get a job. Id do anything to be working again.
