Hi All - Noob to the site but need help. We turned our Central A/C on and hear the motor running, but inside the house is not getting cold. We hose down the main unit and let it dry and turned the unit back on and out of nowhere the unit started to smoke. Please advise on what the issue may be and what the cost of the repair would be.

We turned our Central A/C on and hear the motor running, but inside the house is not getting cold. when i try to decrease thermostat the unit started to smoke. the Tech said IT IS A BIG PROBLEM you must change the bearing & he didnt know how to fix it Please advise on what the issue may be and what the cost of the repair would be.
