I have an Admiral/Maytag side-by-side refrigerator model LSD2615HEW. The ice maker is not producing ice with the arm up or down. The water dispenser still works. Anybody have any ideas on what is the problem?

Aloha.

If water freezes in the refrigerator (and I assume it is or you would be asking), it must not be getting water into the ice maker. Since the water valve is working, water is obviously present. Check for a frozen input line or a non-functioning valve to the ice maker.

Where would I find that valve? There's a big white plastic "container" inside the refrigerator side in the back. Would that have anything to do with it? Do I need to check if water froze in that?

Without looking at your refrigerator, I can only guess. Look at the back where the water line comes into the refrigerator. Then, look carefully at the icemaker. Somewhere in the icemaker, probably near the back, will be the location where the water comes in. It's going to be close to that.

I'm not sure about the big white plastic container. That sounds like the ice maker. If a valve is in there, yes -- you will have to check it.
