Hello, Over the years I have been taking many medications for my endometriosis that causes severe menstrual cramps for days. I was told that I need to have surgery but, that's just not an option now and, nothing else seems to be working. I was told that vicodin may help my cramps? Is that true? I also have arthritus in my knee's. Will vicodin help with that as well? Thanks for your help and any suggestions!

I would not run to use vicoden, as it is highly addictive. Try other means of pain relief. Not worth the pain relief if you have to deal with it's addictive properties.

Depending on the type of arthritis you have in your knee depends on whether the vicodin will help. Most OA patients find none/little to some relief from vicodin. RA patients tend to find more relief with it. Generally though it's the tylenol in the vicodin that is providing the anti-inflammatory that is providing the relief for both the arthritis and cramps.
