My torro lawn mower is less than 1yr old and I've used it maybe 6-7 times and it won't start. Also, there is oil leaking. How do I get it to start??

More details please city boy. Push mower, tractor or what. Where is the oil leaking. What engine, 2 cycle or 4? Did it run earlier this month or are you just starting to use it this season?

Hi,
I gather walk behind; been wrong before. Did you tip over for some reason. Oil coming from somewhere it should not is a symptom of tilting a walk behind incorrectly. Always point the air filter or spark plug in the air. To do otherwise will introduce oil into the wrong places. Ruins air filters!
Pull spark plug, hold down safety bail if not BBC equipped and pull through to clear cylinder. Inspect ait filter; if paper, it may need replacing; if foam, wash in warm water and dishwashing liquid and wring wrapped in a towel to remove excess water. It is probably possible to crank and run it now after inspecting and cleaning plug if need be, and of course reinstalling it. Otherwise allow air filter to dry completely.
Peace,
Clarke
