Hi;

I have an 89 honda civic 1.5 liter manual trans, I stored the car for about a month
Upon bringing it out of storage the car will not start. I have checked the spark at the
Plugs and I do not have any. I have checked the coil it is good. I even replaced the igniter.

I have a check engine lite on but , haven't checked the ECU. Has anybody any clues
Of what I need to check next?

Thanks,
LarsMan

Does the Check Engine Light (CEL) come on and go off in two seconds, when the ignition switch is turned to ON (Position II)? If the CEL stays on, perform the K-Test on the ECM. There will be no spark, if the CEL stays on.

With that being said, bench testing coils is practically useless--I would replace the coil. You did the right thing replacing the ignitor. If the problem persists, the sensors inside the distributor (CKP, TDC, and CYL) may be bad. In this case mount you new ignitor and coil in a new genuine Honda distributor housing.
