Contact your local SPCA or local shelter and ask them to advise you.

I have moved this to "dogs" you posted this in the induction area where you are suppose to merely tell us something about yourself
*** and I was not going to go here, but ownng dogs , like having kids is a large responsibility. If you can not afford to even feed them how are you taking care of their vet bills, what do or would you do if one got injured or sick tonight.
I would strongly suggest that if you are to a point that you can no longer even feed them, that you need to find them new homes.
One of the local humane groups may provide you food for a short period.

YOu know Fr Chuck is right. It is a difficult reality to come to. But if you do not have enough money to pay for them then you are going to have to rehome them.
Perhaps even ask a family member or friend to keep them until you have a more stable financial situation.
I know what its like, being in a rough financial situation. As I am 16 and my parents have gone through it. We had tough times and had to make some sacrifices, but I own 2cats, 2hamsters and of course my Siberian Husky.
Even though my parents had a hard time financially we never stopped buying dog, cat or hamster food.
And as for the vet bills I had a 4-wheeler sitting in my yard that I would drive almost everyday that I know would have to be sold if anything ever happened to Rex( my husky).
Times may seem bleak my dear friend. But I can assure you money is not everything. But you and your dogs need to eat. Please if you can not afford there food rehome them. Don't let them starve.
And keep fighting the good fight. Because between you and financial problems, you will always come out victorious!

I agree with fr. Chuck... how are you feeding yourself? Go to your local food pantry . Some are now giving pet food to the needy! Do the right thing. They do not deserve to be hungry! This is animal cruelty. Please find another home.

Perhaps it's time to sit down and make a monthly plan.
Internet access for one. If you can afford the internet then why can't you afford dog food?
I have to question where your priorities lie. I know that times are tough but you took on the responsibility of these animals, it's up to you to find a way, any way, to feed them and care for them.
Good luck.

Your local butcher may have bones and meat that he/she may otherwise throw out.. your dogs need a better diet then just meat, but maybe its something you could look into.

If you can't afford to fed your dogs then what are you going do when one or both becomes ill?
When you have a dog or dogs you have to save up money just in case. They going need vet care and things tend to happen when you aren't prepare for it.
I know you love your dogs but they seem to be too much of a burden now. Maybe you shouldn't have two dogs or one for that matter.
I am not trying to put you down but I have two dogs in my houseldhold--a pitbull(Tasha) and a black lab(scappy). Also, I am getting another black lab soon. Not to long along my pitbull needed surgery on one it leg and the sugery set us back 2600 but she needed it so we had to pay. I buy all my dog food from Bj's because it is cheaper. And our dogs eat alot--they would eat you out of a home if you let them.
You really need sit back and thank. Also, how long have you had your dog and has this always been an issue? Did you lose your job recently?

Any way you could get another job? Mow some lawns? Walk others' dogs? Anything? While rehoming if you can't afford to feed your dogs or care for it is a good idea, if you can find a way to afford it, it's even a better idea because your dogs know and love you. Chances are if you're short on cash, you could use some extra income. Good luck!

Man, come on dog food isn't that expensive! I bet you have the $$ for your beer and tobacco though.

I do know that some places online offer assistance with feeding your pets.. Mind you the last website I looked at was for buying high grade chinchilla food. But some places also offer packages of things (like food for a month etc) at a lower price then a bag of food for the people that have been losing their jobs lately
