My husband just left and we just had a baby, bought a new house and new truck which are in both of our names. Does he by NC law have to pay his half of our bills even if he leaves? I can't pay for this alone?? He says he can't he has to pay for his new apt for him and his new girlfriend. I had no clue he was unhappy :mad:

If both of your names are on them, technically you are both 100% responsible and the bill holder can go after both of you for 100% of the amount owed. There is no 50% when dealing with lienholders. They don't care where the money comes from... just that it does. A lawyer will be able to assist with temporary spousal support while the divorce is in process to get you some help paying the 'joint' bills.
