I've been talking to this one guy for a while now. He just graduated high school, and I'm only going to be a junior. We live in Pennsylvania and he is going to Washington State for college.
We aren't really dating, but I am really confused about our situation. A few weeks ago he told me that he didn't want to have a high school girlfriend when he started his new life in college. I was really upset about that and ended up very hurt. Then about a week ago we were both at a party, and I was avoiding him at all costs. Some friends asked me why and I told them that he was a jerk and I said I hated him. Then not long after, he asked me if I would take a walk with him and that he wanted to talk. I really didn't want to but something in me said that I should. So I went.
We walked in silence for about 10 minutes and then he said he didn't mean to hurt me. He told me he was sorry for being so stupid, and he didn't want to lose me. At this point we had stopped walking and he held my hand. I was fighting tears, so I couldn't say anything. After a minute, he kissed me for the first time. It was really quick, but really sweet.
A few days later he found out that he was leaving the next Saturday. I hadn't thought he would need to leave until August, which was good because I was still confused about where our relationship stood. I am only sixteen years old and I don't think I can handle a long distance relationship. He is a really good guy and I'm afraid I won't find anyone like him for a long time. I really just don't know what to do.

You have limited options.
You cannot keep him from college.
You stated you aren't interested in a long distance relationship.
Time to carry on with your life and see what the future holds, maybe fate will connect you again when you are both ready for a relationship.
