My wireless network card will not detect any networks in range. I know they are here because the router to Belkin is within 10 feet and other laptops are picking it up

Any changes that either happened or that you perhaps made to your computer around the time that the problem started; particularly any Software or Hardware that you installed or setup.

What OS?

Maybe it is not set to recognise your IP address... mine when I got my new laptop I had to set my wireless to match my router
