Hello. About 4.5 weeks ago, we began building an inground pool in our backyard. It is now complete and works beautifully. At some point since then, the water pressure throughout the entire house has dropped by about 1/3 to 1/2. The pool builder says it should not have anything to do with the building of the pool and it is just a coincidence. We are on a concrete slab in Texas, copper wiring. I have checked the main valve near the street in our front yard, and it is fully open. The spigot on the side of the house seems to have great water pressure, but inside the pressure has dropped. It is most noticeable in the shower. Any ideas?

If there was low pressure on the spigot I would tend to think a heavy piece of equipment smashed and or kinked the line from the street in.

What if any water lines were rearranged and how was the pool set up to fill and or auto fill?

Any valves messed with?

My neighbor told me tonight that his water pressure is also down, so I am thinking it's a neighborhood issue.

If it were a neighborhood problem your spigot pressure would be bad too, right? Your pressure problem is actually a volume problem and is located after the meter and after the spigot. Do you have a whole house filter?
