But to tell the truth, I find 'motivational speeches' a bit sickening. It always seems like the speaker thinks they're a guru, with no foibles about preaching down to people. Achievement mentality seems for many people to encourage comparing of oneself to others, and in a way it takes our creativity away, because often the terms of 'success' have been handed to us.
If on the other hand "Keep your eyes on the prize" is about something greater than the individual, that's a different story.
