1) In addition, between tenants, the apartment must be inspected by the relevant parties such as plumbers, exterminators and electricians

2) In addition, between tenants the apartment must be inspected by the relevant parties such as plumbers, exterminators and electricians

Which one is correct? Comma or no comma.. also do I have to but a comma before such as in this case? Because I am seeing conflicting answers.

Also can you check the punctuation in this sentence please

Tenants do not have to travel far to obtain basic necessities such as groceries and clothes.

(ADD A COMMA AFTER "EXTERMINATORS," PART OF THE SERIES.)

NO COMMA NECESSARY: Tenants do not have to travel far to obtain basic necessities such as groceries and clothes.

Old post, I know.

I agree with Wondergirl. Just know that the comma after "exterminators" is actually optional. It's known as an "oxford comma" and is considered stylistic, and not a rule.

That said, I ALWAYS use it in a series of 3 or more. Keeps things a little clearer.
