It means to get your heart beating faster. Possibly because you're excited, nervous or aroused.

Hi, helpmeout58!

My understanding of it is, that you get excited enough about someone that your heart beats faster because of your thinking of your want to be with the other person. Such a thing is usually encountered where a person has a "crush" on the other person.
