Ok so I just received an E-mail from my landlord who lives in New York. He says that he had a complaint that someone I live with was driving drunk, and that he is 99% sure that it was one of my male roommates. He is going by the word of one of my neighbors I'm sure, but this is the only issue that we have ever had with the landlord and he has told us that if he gets another complaint we will all have to leave. Can he legally without proof of incident ask us to leave? My thought is that someone that lives near us wants us gone, or even possibly that he would like to have us leave since our rent is cheap because the place is run down and he would like to upgrade the place and get more money rent wise. It is possible that one of my roommates did drive under the influence recently, but I can go accusing anyone without proof to avoid conflict within the household. I did politely ask for more information so that I could do just that because I don't condone this activity. Please help if he is just taking the word of someone around me, I don't want to get evicted because someone doesn't like me personally.
